If are interested in supporting Breast Cancer Awareness, please reach out to the Helena Police Department before these patches are gone! There are only pink patches left, the purple ones have already sold out!

**UPDATE: 09-14-21: WE ONLY HAVE PINK PATCHES LEFT IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO PURCHASE ONE. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO PURCHASED THE LAVENDER PATCHES FOR OUR ASSISTANT CHIEF!!! THE COMMUNITY REPONSE AND SUPPORT IS ALWAYS VERY HUMBLING!!!**
The Helena Police Department is conducting a fundraiser for Breast Cancer Awareness and our Assistant Chief, Curt Stinson. Earlier this year we had been working on just a pink patch as part of a national project for breast cancer. Then in July our Assistant Chief, Curt, was diagnosed with cancer (and is undergoing treatment), so we shifted gears and included an all cancer patch as well!

The HPD is selling both the pink (breast cancer) and lavender (all cancer) patches. The patches are $5.00 each. If you could please have exact cash - we don't have change, it would be very much appreciated. Proceeds from the pink patches will be donated to breast cancer awareness. The money raised for the lavender patches will go directly to Curt and his family. We will keep you all updated as to how much money was raised for both on our page.

If you would like to purchase any of the patches, please stop by the police department (406 Fuller Avenue) and patches will be available at our records window for purchase. If you have any questions or would like us to set aside a certain amount of patches for you to be picked up, please send an email to Farah Lane at [email protected]. **Please note: No City Funds Were Used To Purchase These Patches**

You can listen to Brandon's remarks about the City of Helena's recent discussions to defund the Helena School Resource Officers by clicking the link below. Officer Wootan's remarks begin at the 24:00 minute mark.

Above the Fold: Defund? The argument over Helena police funding In this episode, we focus on the possibility that the Helena City Commission could defund a portion of the Helena Police Department's funding.
