We are excited to announce the appointment of Jacob Wiggs as the new President of Bison Engineering (Bison), effective March 21, 2025. Jacob (Jake) brings a wealth of experience, leadership, and innovation to our organization, and we are confident that his vision will continue to drive Bison Engineering’s growth and success.

During Jake’s career, he has been heavily involved in the source testing industry for 15 years. After earning a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Montana State University, Jake started his working career with Baker Hughes in Houston. He then became a stack testing engineer for EEMC in Billings, MT. He worked his way towards project manager, then Billings branch manager after Bison Engineering purchased EEMC in 2015. He was the Ambient Team and EMRC Gas Flow Monitor Director for Bison. He has held QSTI (1-4) certification in the past, served on STAC Board of Directors, and has extensive field experience. Jake is a key member of Bison’s management team and serves on Bison’s Board of Directors. His deep understanding of the industry, paired with his passion for excellence and teamwork, makes him the ideal candidate to lead Bison into its next chapter.

As President, Jake will oversee the overall strategic direction of the company, with a continued focus on fostering client relationships, improving operational efficiencies, and expanding our market presence.

Jake will be taking over the position from Chris Hiltunen, who has successfully served as Bison’s President for the last 8 years. Bison appreciates Chris’ 30 years of service and experience and looks forward to his continued success as the new Ambient Air Monitoring Team Director.

Having offices in Helena, MT, Billings, MT, and Tucson, AZ, Bison offers vast air quality regulatory compliance services including: Permitting/Consulting, Ambient Air Monitoring, Emissions Testing, and EMRC gas flow monitoring systems.
