Congratulations Luke on your selection to AA all-conference playing offense after getting selected last year playing only defense. I'm proud of you. Mom and I really enjoy watching you play.

One of my biggest lessons in Q1 2023 ?
Pine seeds that sink may be more viable than pine seeds that float.
Last fall I collected some ponderosa pine cones. Left them in a bucket inside for a while and the seeds started to get easy to see. So I collected some. Then I put them in a jar of water as this is part of the process to prep them and separated the sinkers from the floaters. I’ll plant some of both to see how they do. The next step was to wrap them in a wet paper towel in a plastic bag and put them in the bottom of the refrigerator for 8 or so weeks – mimicking winter time.

There’s lots to like about this opportunity. There is no apparent ceiling except what I let my own skill level, attitude, drive, activity level, and development dictate. No excuses. Just have at it, recognize what is working, what is not working, and make adjustments. Tap into the team to learn what always works and what is working for other people. People share what allows them to win. It all involves work, persistence, plugging into the group, taking advantage of the endless training opportunities, showing up.
Most of the people that ask for help are really looking for our help. Sure, there are a few that are not sure why they expressed interest in having us contact them, but most people appreciate the help we give. It’s a good feeling to help people take steps to protect those they love.
