For more than 140 years, the Rathskeller has been a place where people gathered over great food, exceptional drinks, and even better conversation. (OPEN TO ALL, SEE YOU DOWNSTAIRS)
Our new menu honors that tradition with handcrafted dishes inspired by Montana, Europe, and the legacy of Julian Anderson—featuring everything from house-made pretzels, steak samplers, and charcuterie to fresh salads, hearty sandwiches, flatbreads, and chef-crafted entrées. Every dish is prepared with the same attention to detail that made the Rathskeller one of Montana's most memorable gathering places.

A century ago, legends gathered at The Original Montana Club & The Rathskeller
Among them was President Theodore Roosevelt, who famously enjoyed a Mint Julep while visiting Helena. Behind the bar stood Julian Anderson, the Montana Club's iconic bartender whose stories, hospitality, and craftsmanship became part of Helena history.
Today, that spirit lives on in the Rathskeller Cellar Bar—where great cocktails, great stories, and Montana history are always on the menu.
