It’s another exciting day at . Putt-putt is up and running! We have a few holes to finish edging but it’s still ready to play! It is and approved so I’d say that’s a win.

ATTENTION CAMPERS:
Beginning tomorrow, Wednesday, March 2, our main road will be paved.
This is very exciting, but will cause some traffic changes while the paving is happening.
Please be aware of workers and machinery. Be cautious and drive slowly.
It will take at least 2 days to complete.
After the main road is finished, work will be done on a ditch removing a pipe and creating a better water flow.

Thank you for your attention to this matter and happy camping!

We are in need of someone proficient in all areas of landscaping.
We routinely use gas powered hedge trimmers, chainsaw, w**d trimmers, and backpack blowers as well as manual shovels, rakes, and clippers.
Must be able to take direction and work independently as well as with others on different projects.

Please email resumes to [email protected].

If you are in the campground right now, take safety at the bathhouse in the hallway.
There is a tornado warning in our area right now.
Take shelter now.

With a break from the cold, take this time to replace hoses, get new rubber o-rings in the ends of hoses, and check your sewer hose for cracks.
Also be vigilant with checking your power cords regularly. Keep them clean of corrosion and replace immediately with any sign of wear on prongs or cracks in the cord.

ANOTHER FREEZE? Every year when winter begins to fade into spring, I always get questions about the last freeze of the season. While it looks like we won't have any sub-freezing mornings here for the next 10 days or so, there is no doubt we aren't done with cold snaps.

They almost always come every year in March and April. In fact, some of our biggest snows have come during the month of March, and the first week of April.

Here are some stats for Birmingham...

Earliest last freeze – February 3, 1945
Average date of last spring freeze – March 25
Latest spring freezing temperature – April 23, 1986
