Las Vegas neighborhoods are not all the same when it comes to value.

Two homes with the same square footage can sell for very different prices depending on the area, the lot size, and whether there is a pool. A backyard pool tends to add real value here. Our summers make it more of an expectation than a luxury in a lot of neighborhoods.

Pool or no pool. If you were buying a home in Las Vegas right now, which way would you go?

A pool adds fun and resale appeal in our heat. It also adds upkeep and cost.

No pool keeps things simple and your yard low maintenance.

A pool inspection is not the same as a home inspection.

A home inspector checks the basics. They look at the shell, the pump, and the visible equipment. They are not pool specialists.

Plaster cracks, cracked tile, and worn pebble finishes are easy to miss if you do not know what you are looking for.

Before you buy a pool home, ask for a separate pool inspection. It is a small cost that can save you thousands.
