Eva. You may not know her name, but you probably know her story.

Eva Mireles was one of two school teachers gunned down in the Uvalde school shooting that killed 19 kids. She was also a wife, a mom and an avid CrossFitter.

In fact, in an open letter penned to her mom, Eva’s daughter wrote how she would miss so much about her mom, including her calloused hands.

So, next Saturday we will honor Eva in a Hero WOD dedicated to her. We will also honor the teachers and the dad’s in our family ahead of Father’s Day.

We feel like this is a moment to reflect on all the parenting that happens with children, whether they’re yours or not.
