My name is Megan Doty, I have been a teacher for the last 10 years for Hopewell City Public schools in a variety of different roles from ECSE to special education inclusion, to Virginia Preschool Initiative. My undergrad and graduate studies were completed at THE James Madison University (GO DUKES!)

I am a current Lakeside local, with a husband, 3 kids and more than enough animals! I’m excited to start this new chapter at Lakeside and look forward making this home!

I am excited to join Lakeside E.S as an Instructional Assistant. I have over 10 years of experience working with children, including supporting students with autism and special education needs. As a former Registered Behavior Technician and holder of a paraprofessional certification, I am passionate about helping students grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
I strive to create a supportive and positive learning environment and am known for being compassionate, patient, and dedicated to my students. I look forward to building meaningful relationships with students, families, and staff and helping each child reach their full potential.
