Hermiston Trap Team – 2025 1A State Championship Recap
With the 2025 1A State Championship now behind us, I want to take a moment to express how incredibly proud I am of the Hermiston Trap Team. Despite the less-than-ideal weather conditions, our athletes showed remarkable focus and resilience. Not once did I hear a complaint about the rain—an impressive testament to their dedication and mental toughness.
At the end of the tournament, the team secured 6th place in the 1A Conference—a strong finish considering the high level of competition we faced on Saturday.

This season has been a great experience across the board. I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the parents—your support was invaluable. From setting up canopies to keep everyone dry to making sure the team was well-fed, we couldn’t have done it without you.
Lastly, a huge thank you to our assistant coaches. It was an honor to be asked to serve as head coach this year, and I’m grateful for the incredible coaching staff that made my job so much easier. Your dedication and teamwork were instrumental in our success.

Last Sunday, most of our team made the trip to Hillsboro for the State Warm Up Shoot, and despite the heat, we put on an amazing performance!

Huge congratulations to all our shooters! For some, this was their first experience in a true competition setting, and they handled the pressure like champs.

A big shoutout to Hillsboro Trap and S***t and their incredible staff for hosting such a well-run event. We can’t wait to be back in a couple of weeks for the Oregon State Tournament.
