College Resources for Students with Disabilities College students with disabilities will find that many campuses address accessibility, accommodation, and assistive technology for a diverse range of needs.
Deaf people vote, pay taxes, drive cars, attend business, social, and religious events... Deaf people are lawyers, dentists, doctors, chemists, inventors, artists, sculptors, writers, architects, poets, musicians, newspaper editors, clergy, actors, and teachers, to name just a few! They can do everything anyone else can - except hear!
If you were to say I can’t go to the store (without shaking your head no) there might be some confusion. The word can’t and the word can both look the same on the lips. Here are some other words that look the same on the lips:
