It is always cool to find photos of one of our jets on the internet. This is a share from Detail & Scale of our Grumman EA-6B Prowler photographed by Sumio Suzuki. The jet was with USMC squadron VMAQ-3 “Moon Dogs” landing at NAF Atsugi, Japan during 1993 Far East deployment.

Today in MilAvHist, 7/10/1942, the first flight of the Douglas XA-26 "Invader" Serial 41-19504. It was a ground attack light bomber that saw service for 5 decades in multiple variants by 23 countries. The US used them during WWII, Korean War, Southeast Asia, and even with the CIA in the Bay of Pigs invasion.
There were 2,503 built, numerous surviving aircraft are on display in museums around the world including several that are still flown. It had a 6,000 pound bomb carrying capacity with a max speed of 360mph.
