Ted Allen Hoyle
Ted Allen Hoyle, 40, of Thomasville, passed away on June 4, 2026, at his home.
Born on September 12, 1985, in Cherokee County, North Carolina to the late Gerald Hoyle, Jr. and Patricia Gail Rogers Hoyle, Ted spent his earliest years in the Great Smokey Mountains of North Carolina in the town of Murphy. In 1988 his family moved to Denton, North Carolina. Growing up in Denton, he made many friends in the southern Davidson County community. He loved playing football throughout his school years. He attended Denton Elementary, South Davidson Middle School and graduated from South Davidson High School in 2004. From there Ted went on to continue his education at Greensboro College where he continued to play football while earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
Ted used his skills in many ways. He enjoyed being outside and working with others. Because of these qualities, Ted enjoyed almost two decades in the construction and building industry.
Beyond his career, Ted enjoyed playing golf with his brother, Jerry. He also traveled by himself and with many of his friends. Ted found joy in the simple pleasures of being at home with his cat after work and when he wasn’t traveling.
Left to cherish his memory are his brother, Larry “Jerry” Hoyle of Denton, and many other extended family members and friends.
Ted was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service to celebrate Ted’s life will be held at a later date.
