This is a promotional page for The Greater Saint Louis Area Councils Cub Scout Camp known as Camp May at Beaumont Scout Reservation Louis Council.
Across our council, we sing the Camp Irondale song every year — a small tradition that connects us to a camp that closed more than half a century ago but never really left our story.
Hearing our Camp May staff take it up tonight felt like stepping back into the footsteps of Scouts from 1920–1965. Some traditions fade… but the good ones echo on.

🚨 Tick Activity Is High This Year
Ticks are way up across Missouri, and anyone heading to Camp May or the woods should take extra precautions.
One of the strongest defenses is permethrin-treated clothing. Treat shirts, pants, socks, and gear — once dry, it lasts 6 weeks or 6 washes. Use about 3 ounces per garment for full protection.
Pair it with a skin repellent like DEET or picaridin and do regular tick checks after outdoor activities.
