Our Story

LaTia McNeely-Sandiford, MSW, is widely known as The Adversity Expert. She is a published author, inspirational speaker, success coach, trainer, consultant and entrepreneur. As an advocate for overcoming adversity, LaTia demolished the odds by earning her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Rutgers’s University in 2001. Until December 2010, LaTia enjoyed a 20 year executive career in Social Work, holding 2 Executive Directorships, 2 Directorships and 1 Clinical Directorship for various New Jersey based non-profits.

Today, LaTia is the Founder & Executive Producer for Lions Vision Productions; a New Jersey based mass media production & entertainment company that specializes in visual media and event production. Through her mission to advance women, LaTia also founded the Worthy Women’s Upward Mobility Institute which includes: the Worthy Women's Upward Mobility Academy (2-day advanced personal and professional development seminar), Worthy Women's Millennial Boss Academy, WWMBA (entrepreneurial video training for women 37 under), Worthy Women’s Entrepreneurial Seminar Series, “The Woman & Her Business” (in-person personal and professional development seminars), Worthy Women’s Empowerment Academy (webinars for women in transition) and the Worthy Women's Entrepreneurial Sisterhood (supportive sisterhood for women entrepreneurs and aspiring). Through the WWUMI brand LaTia provides education, opportunity and support for women who desire to reach the next level in their personal lives, careers and relationships.

In 2014, LaTia held the esteemed honor of being Union County New Jersey’s 2014 Woman of Excellence for Entrepreneurship, voted by Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders and the New Jersey Commission on the Status of Women. In 2015 she received the 2015 Best of the Best in Business Award from B.I.T.E.S and 2015 Woman of Prominence Award from Main Street Branding Corporation.

Most recently, in July 2016, LaTia was featured as an Uprising Star on New Jersey’s Channel 1 Verizon FIOS1 Push Pause television show.
