We have an amazing team at Hele-On!

Aloha! I want to thank the riders of Hele-On, the Mayor Mitch Roth administration and the residents of Hawai’i County for the support for making Hele-On Bus the best it can be! I will be transitioning out to a new role leading a transit authority in California starting April 3rd and will miss Hawai’i County greatly! Please continue to use Hele-On as more improvements will come as the continued implementation of the Master Plan occurs, including a new shared ride program that is island-wide, battery electric and hydrogen buses, new buses and Hele-On L’il, a new microtransit service in Puna and Ka’u districts. Additionally, the Agency will be hiring many positions if you have a desire to work in public transit management. Visit jobs.hawaiicounty.gov for more details! Heads up! Hele-On bus service will be on a Sunday schedule on Monday, March 27, 2023. Only Routes 1, 2/Blue, 11/Red, 12, 40, 75, 80, 90, 101, 201, 202, 203, 301, and 401 will operate. Visit www.heleonbus.org for schedule information. Mass Transit Agency will be closed as well. Normal service will return on Tuesday. Mo'oheau Bus Terminal office will be open for information from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
