Surgery number two, this time they’re removing a 9 inch metal plate, stabilizing my arm, wrist and hand with a whole bunch of screws, bolted into my arm, stabilizing my mini broken pieces. It’s really all about waiting for a sense of normalness…

My father Tim Tunison passed away a few days ago at our family home in Volcano Village.

Since 1983 my dad has contributed widely to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and our Volcano community. We sincerely appreciate all of you, in Hawai’i and beyond, who have reached out to support our family.

While we don’t have services planned, we are considering several options for celebrating his life in the months ahead.

Last night Hawaiian goddess of fire, Pele, gave off a hell of a good show with her fountains several hundred feet high!

Been spending a lot of time going in and out of San Francisco lately. This photo is in a panoramic format (squared for insta) and was taken from Bay Bridge at 60mph. But medium format digital at high shutter speeds allowed for tack sharp focus in every area of the image.
