At 4:43 am today, June 7 2023 Halemaumau erupted in the darkness of early morning. Initially releasing pressure with a huge fountain of lava in the first few seconds, filling the crater floor to illuminate the early dawn, bringing the glow back. These magnificent powers of Tutu Pele gave life to the islands…. Always a sight for sore eyes. Engaging my inner Lavachaser mode once again. Let there be light! Little peekaboo of the views we’ve been getting on the island lately with Mauna Loa erupting. It’s been amazing to see how it has brought the community together as everybody is taking time in their routine to go out and smell the flowers or in this case see the lava. I’ve just been overwhelmed and oversaturated with so much lava but still trying to keep balance in the professional home and personal life, so it’s been slow posting for me in social media world. Fully present enjoying all of these moments can’t wait to start processing and sharing some of my images from the last couple days. What a rush! Off to be a dad now, then see you later !
