We met with another Comcast representative today. The general consensus is still that there is a larger systemic issue in the area that is isolated to the newer Docsis 3.1 modems. It is affecting both customer-owned modems and Comcast-leased modems.
Comcast advised us that their networking team is still attempting to resolve the issue. We were also told that the more data they have, the sooner they will be identify and resolve the issue.
Comcast has accepted our offer to gather information from as many sources as possible.
If you experience a service outage and would like Holly Technology Solutions to include this in our report to Comcast, please submit the following information:
1. Date and time the outage occurred
2. How long the outage lasted
3. Make and Model of your modem
4. Describe what the lights on your modem showed
during the outage
5. The nearest crossroads to your home
This information can be sent to us via Facebook Messenger or it can be emailed to [email protected]. We will add your submitted information to our report and submit it to a Comcast. Reporting this information to us will NOT initiate a service call with Comcast, but will aid them in resolving the issues in the Holly area.
We will not use your contact information for any sort of sales or marketing efforts in the future. Our purpose is solely to help restore proper internet service to our community.

Update on the Comcast situation -
They are continuing to monitor several circuits - the issue does not seem to be improving at all - we’ve received numerous reports from customers today of continued disconnections and diminished speeds. These issues seem to be concentrated in the morning, but also continuing later in the afternoon to a lesser extent. Despite previous suggestions that these issues were isolated to specific brands and models of modems, that has proven to be false.
While Comcast is continuing to investigate as calls come in, we believe there is a greater system-wide issue in the area. There are too many people reporting the exact same issues.
Holly Technology Solutions will continue working with Comcast to get this issue resolved for our community.
