πŸ‡΅πŸ‡· Fiestas Patronales de Holyoke turns 5 this year! πŸŽ‰

Save the date: Thursday, July 30 through Sunday, August 2, 2026, Downtown Holyoke comes alive for four full days, the largest Puerto Rican festival in Massachusetts and the only one of its kind spanning an entire weekend plus.

This milestone year honors the town of Naranjito, Puerto Rico, founded in 1824 and known as one of the island’s most iconic volleyball towns. The sport arrived there in 1915 and helped forge a bond between Naranjito and Holyoke that’s still going strong today.

🎀 Get ready for performances from Luis Vargas, Tonny Tun Tun, La Makina, Nino Segarra, Christian Alicea, Luis Mato, Luis Moña, Alexandra La Queen, Bomba de Aquí, and more.

Celebrate Juneteenth at Wistariahurst πŸ–€β€οΈπŸ’š

On Friday, June 19th, Wistariahurst (Wistariahurst Museum) and Genuine Culture (Damany_G) welcome you to the Wistariahurst gardens for our annual Celebrate Juneteenth event β€” a day of community, joy, and honoring freedom on the country’s second independence day.

For the 4th year running, Wistariahurst (Wistariahurst Museum) and Genuine Culture (Damany_G) are teaming up to bring this celebration back for Holyoke and beyond. 🌳

Here’s what’s waiting for you on the grounds:
🎨 Hands-on art projects + games in the gardens
🎢 Live performances and music
🍽️ Local food vendors
πŸ›οΈ Black-owned businesses, makers & artists selling locally made goods
πŸ“‹ Community organizations sharing their work

There’s something for every age. Juneteenth reminds us of the resilience of Black lives β€” the challenges and victories of formerly enslaved people striving for unity, education, and political engagement during Reconstruction.
