We are incredibly grateful to the Massachusetts State Police for their continued support of Homework House.

Yesterday, we were honored to receive a donation of $22,247.50 through the annual Massachusetts State Police T-Shirt Fundraiser. Since the fundraiser began, it has contributed more than $106,500 to support the students and families we serve.

It is truly an incredible honor to be chosen each year as the beneficiary of this tradition.

Thank you to Lt. Det. Kevin O’Toole, the men and women of the Massachusetts State Police, the Hampden County District Attorney’s Office, and especially the volunteers and supporters who sell these shirts year after year. Your generosity continues to make a lasting difference in the lives of Holyoke’s children.

✨ Volunteer Spotlight: Eden A. ✨

We’re excited to shine this Volunteer Spotlight on Eden from Smith College!

Eden is a sophomore double majoring in Education & Child Studies and English Language & Literature, and she brings such a thoughtful, creative energy to Homework House each week.

She shared that she keeps coming back because she believes in our mission to create a safe space for kids, and it shows. Whether she’s making students laugh or helping them grow more confident, Eden is making a real impact in our classrooms.

Outside of Homework House, Eden enjoys hiking, biking, reading, writing, baking, playing the violin, and crafting. She brings that creativity into her time with our students in fun and meaningful ways!

Thank you, Eden, for all that you do for our students and our community! 💛

🌎 Happy Earth Day from Homework House!

At Homework House, learning goes beyond the books… and into nature.

Our 1st–3rd graders recently explored the trails, streams, and wildlife at the Mass Audubon Arcadia Wildlife Sanctuary in Easthampton, getting hands-on with the natural world, discovering ecosystems up close, and learning through curiosity and play.

This experience is made possible through our partnership with Eagle Eye Institute, and we are so grateful for the opportunity they provide our students to connect with nature in such a meaningful way.

Moments like these remind us that education isn’t just about what happens in the classroom, it’s about exploration, discovery, and building a lifelong appreciation for the world around us.

Thank you, Eagle Eye Institute, for helping make this special day happen for our students! 🌿🐸
