Here's another check at the forecast for Wednesday and Thursday. Winds are expected to pick up on Wednesday and Thursday. A Fire Weather Watch goes into effect on Wednesday afternoon and will expire on Thursday afternoon.
The National Weather Service is considering issuing wind advisories for parts of Maui County. Dry air surrounding the state and high winds together create the ideal environment for fires to both start and spread. Please avoid any outdoor burning this week.
