Several weeks now of surveys! All of this damage has been documented and reported through the Makai Watch reporting tool on the Eyes of the Reef website. If you notice any damaged or unhealthy corals, head to the link in our bio to submit a report🪸

Between the rainy days, we’ve still managed to get out and survey our restoration sites. We’ve seen impacts including larger colonies of Pocillopora grandis, some overturned Porites colonies, and smaller Pocillopora finger corals that have broken off. All of this damage has been documented and reported through the Makai Watch reporting tool on the Eyes of the Reef website. If you notice any damaged or unhealthy corals, head to the link in our bio to submit a report.

Have you guys seen one of our new T-shirts yet? This design actually features a few of the indicator species we look for during our reef surveys! These species can tell us a lot about the overall health of the reef!

If you want to show your support, every purchase helps us continue protecting coral reefs here in Hawaiʻi, along with supporting community education, restoration efforts, and so much more🥳🌊
