The Hawaii Asphalt Paving Industry (HAPI) is seeking candidates for the position of Executive Director. This position is open due to the planned retirement of our current Executive Director, Jon Young, who has served HAPI with dedication and leadership for the past 14 years. We are looking for a forward-thinking individual to lead the organization and continue its mission of advancing Hawaii’s asphalt paving industry.

The Executive Director represents, promotes, and manages activities for HAPI, whose members include asphalt pavement producers, laydown contractors, design consultants, material suppliers, equipment vendors, and other industries related to pavement preservation in the State of Hawai‘i. Formed in 1989, HAPI's purpose is to provide engineering promotion and education to advance the continuing use of asphalt pavement and pavement treatments throughout the State of Hawai’i.
