Our Mānoa: Place-Based Leadership Through Mālama ʻĀina is a new Summer Programs course that invites students to see Mānoa as a living classroom.
Through visits to places such as Ka Papa Loʻi o Kānewai, Kamehameha Schools Hawaiʻi, Mānoa Heritage Center, Hamilton Library, and Lyon Arboretum, students explored how place, culture, history, and community are deeply connected.
Back on campus, students continued their learning in Mid-Pacific’s māla ʻai, preparing the garden for a new harvest and deepening their relationship with the ʻāina our campus calls home.

The life of legendary athlete, football coach, and champion of Hawaii high school athletics, Donald "Coach Bo" Botelho, will be celebrated at Mid-Pacific's Mills Gymnasium.
Coach Bo led Pac-5 to two Prep Bowl championships in 1982 and 1985, and served as Mid-Pacific's athletic director for 28 years. He was also executive director of the ILH, leaving an enduring legacy of leadership and aloha.
The family welcomes all friends to celebrate a life well lived and loved.
