For the first time ever, you can take a train straight to the Honolulu airport.

Skyline Segment 2 is open, and it changes the daily math for a lot of Oahu.

Here is what actually opened:
✈️ Four new stations, about five miles of track
✈️ Lelepauoa Station connects right to the Daniel K. Inouye terminals by elevated walkway
✈️ Runs roughly 4 AM to 10:30 PM, so early flights are on the table
✈️ Ties into the bus network at Middle Street

If you have ever fought Nimitz traffic to make a flight, you know how big this is. The bigger story is what comes next: transit-oriented neighborhoods taking shape around Lagoon Drive, Middle Street, and the airport corridor as the line pushes toward downtown by 2031.
