As we observe Memorial Day, our armed forces continue to serve around the world to defend and preserve freedom.

On this solemn occasion, please join me in taking a moment to pay tribute to those who make it possible for us to live as we choose.

Many courageous men and women have paid for our freedom with their lives, and many more put themselves in harm’s way every day to ensure that we all continue to enjoy the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness asserted by the Declaration of Independence.

As leaders, we have to remember that our people are the heart and soul of our business.

Leading is a privilege, and true leadership is all about people and inspiring people to believe that the impossible is possible.

When leaders can inspire a group of people to become the very best version of themselves and perform beyond their normal limitations, great things will happen.

It has nothing to do with having power over someone; it's about using your influence to inspire and empower people to make a difference in the lives of the people they are entrusted to serve.
