Get to know Nancy and her heart for the Keiki in our church!

Q: What’s something people might be surprised to learn about you?

A: I’ve never gotten stung by a bee, never gotten chicken pox, and there are way too many orca whale facts living rent free in my brain (thank you, Free W***y).

Q: What’s your favorite thing to do on O’ahu?

A: Ironically, I’m not much of an outdoorsy explorer and may or may not have a slight fear of open water. However, I enjoy the Bishop Museum and discovering plant nursery’s, botanical gardens, and enjoy looking for things to make lei.
Q: What’s one thing you feel God has been speaking to you recently?

A: Not growing weary in my pursuit of Him in the seemingly mundane daily grind of life. Even in seasons of repetitiveness, is an invitation and opportunity to encounter holy ground moments with God.
Q: What excites you most about stepping into this new position?

A: Seeing how God will use this ministry as a vehicle to minister to the volunteers, keiki, and families of Reality Honolulu.
Q: What is your prayer for the Keiki of Reality Honolulu?

A: Prayers that this ministry be used to cultivate either a starting point or an extension of what it means to walk in the way of Jesus beyond a Sunday morning while coming alongside the parents/guardians in encouraging them to teach their keiki what it means to be unwavering for God’s kingdom with steadfastness, resilience, belief and service, being fierce lovers of Jesus, rooted in God’s word.
Q: How can the church be praying for you as you begin this new season of life?

A: Ongoing prayers that I remain plugged into God as the source for every need so that I may steward His ministry well and serve with a glad heart.

Wisdom in managing work and home life. Pivoting and allowing myself to submit to the lines that God has to fall in pleasant places (Psalms 16:5-6).

Sunday was such a beautiful day! We wrapped up our series in 2 Timothy with a time of sharing testimonies and takeaways from the book. What a gift it is to learn from one another and grow alongside each other.

This Sunday is a special one at Reality Honolulu.

We’ll be gathering to honor and celebrate the Hillner family as they prepare to move back to California after faithfully leading and serving our church. It will be a morning of gratitude, reflection, and prayer as we celebrate all that God has done through their lives and leadership. In the same service, we will also be commissioning the Elliott’s into their new pastoring roles and looking forward to what is ahead.

Following the service, we’ll share a potluck together. Bring a dish to share, a lei, and a note of encouragement or a memory of how the Hillners have impacted your life. We want to take time to honor them well and send them off with love.
If you’re part of our church family—or even if you haven’t been in a while—we would love to have you celebrate with us!

On Sunday night we gathered together to pray and worship - asking the Lord what He has for us as a church in this new season. Thank you to everyone who came out to seek the heart of Jesus for our church ‘Ohana. It was a blessing!
