This comes a week after one houseless neighbor had their possessions thrown away and forced to evacuate Linn Park. Many organizations are committed to supporting the unhoused in this city, but it is up to the city itself to reinforce these efforts.

We’ve received a direct grant to help meet the growing need for food but the truth is, hunger doesn’t live alone. It travels with housing insecurity, empty gas tanks, overdue bills, and the impossible cost of childcare. Every day, mothers and families reach out trying to hold it all together, and we meet them where systems will not.

As more and more cuts are made to programs that serve the American people (SNAP, Medicaid, etc.), is making an effort to fight back and inform others of what’s going on and what we can do to help. Join them on zoom October 22nd and November 10th and follow them for more details on upcoming actions!
