Our program is implementing a Practice Player of the Week for the 2025-2026 season. Our program’s first Practice Player of the Week goes to Jr Kadynce Harris. Kadynce had a great attitude and effort throughout plyo workouts, speed training, and basketball practices. She pushed herself and teammates all week. Keep working hard!

🏅 Nonprofit Spotlight 🏅

This month, we are shouting out the husband and wife duo leading the USATF Arkansas nonprofit, the powerhouse behind our track & field program at We Are Washington! 🏃🏾‍♀️💨 With their guidance and mentorship, six of our student-athletes have qualified for the National Junior Olympic Track & Field Championships happening July 21–27 in Savannah, GA! 🎉🔥

Their why says it all:
“We both grew up in areas where the community/recreation center was an integral part of keeping children safe and broadening their horizons to new avenues for success. We have both been blessed to work with some of the most influential people in our sport for a long time, and feel it is our obligation to share what we’ve learned with the next generation.”
