Established in 2004, the Minnesota Mosaic Guild was formed to promote the art of mosaic, encourage exploration and experimentation in the medium, provide educational opportunities, and celebrate the diversity of experience and knowledge within the mosaic community.
This exhibit showcases the incredible talent of mosaic artists from across Minnesota — from traditional techniques to contemporary approaches using smalti, stained glass, found objects, and more. Whether you're an artist, collector, or simply love beautiful, intricate work, this show is not to be missed.

What a fun and festive December meeting with the MN Mosaic Guild! ✨🌀

Our monthly challenge theme was “Swirls,” and members who participated brought their mosaics in secret—leading to lots of laughs and great conversations as everyone tried to guess who created each piece. The creativity on display was incredible, with so many unique interpretations of the theme!

We also enjoyed a tesserae exchange, shared lots of delicious food, and spent time socializing and connecting as a guild. A perfect way to wrap up the year together. 💛

Thanks to everyone who participated and made the evening so special!

This past September, many Minnesota Mosaic Guild members had the incredible opportunity to participate in the River of Smalti Mosaic Workshop led by the talented Mireille Swinnen ( ).

A huge thank you to guild member and host Rachel Arntson ( ) for welcoming everyone into her beautiful home!

Artists dove into either a 3-day or 5-day intensive session, exploring the vibrant world of smalti, learning new techniques, and pushing their creative boundaries. The results were absolutely stunning—what an inspiring week for our community!
