Ever Tidy

These are some of my favorite products that I use when organizing photos.

1. Photo box: what I love about photo boxes is that they're space-saving! You can fit over 1,000 photos in just one photo box.

2. Index cards are great for sorting the photos into categories, such as a year (1995), a decade (1980s), or an event ("Childhood")

3. I love this label maker for labeling the index cards--so much neater than my handwriting!

4. An adapter helps you download digital photos from multiple sources (flash drives, memory cards, etc) into ONE location

5. I suggest getting all of your photos digitally organized too (not just physically). Once your printed photos are scanned, organize them in a hard drive so they're saved both physically and digitally.

Organizing your photos is easier before you scan them because they're bigger and therefore easier to see. Catching duplicates is easier, noticing details--it's all easier to find on a 4x6inch photo compared to a smaller icon on the computer after they're scanned.
