Michigan Technological University’s Department of Chemical Engineering (ChE) celebrates alumna, Dr. Teresa Karjala ‘87, on her recently announced election to the National Academy of Engineering (NAE). Election to NAE is among the highest professional distinctions for engineers in academia, business, and government. After graduating from MTU, Teresa earned a PhD from the University of Delaware. Dr. Karjala serves as a Senior R&D Fellow in Dow’s Packaging and Special Plastics Division (Jackson, TX). NAE recognizes Teresa for her leadership in innovation in the field of polyolefin product development, production, and commercialization.
