HHS Flocking

The great flamingo migration has come to an end. The flamingos revisited and were very welcome at Royalewood road today. A second flock landed on Middle Pointe Road. However the third group made a longer journey to Lake St in Painesdale where the host was very enchanted. Thank you to everyone who supported our seniors and to those that hosted the flamingos during their journey.

The flamingos migrated on Saturday, no weekend rest for them! They’ve been spotted across the bridge in Hancock on Cooper Ave and on Royalwood Drive in Houghton. Word on the wind is they’ll be moving again on Mother’s Day.

Friday night, one of the flocks revisited Jacker Ave in Houghton. The grass does look pretty green there. Another flock tried something new and migrated west to Laminga Road, the farthest migration of the year.

The flamingos don’t stay still for long. They’ve been sighted at Middle Point Lane as well as Brookside Drive. They surely do brighten up the place with their flamboyant colors! So glad the cold isn’t scaring them away!
There’s still time if you’d like to have them stop at a friend’s house!
