Today I dropped off my first foster dog to be transported for her next foster & then soon to be future home. Was not ready for the tears 🥹. I tried not to and that didn’t work at all. Lol But what a sweet thing to be apart of. The volunteers I met today were all so great. Sat with me on the grass as I cried saying bye to Jaime. While I know I am a step in why Jaime didn’t get euthanized and I know she’s in the best hand to find her forever home. It’s still a hard goodbye to this amazing girl who became besties with my dogs so quickly. She’ll push her whole body on you for cuddles and smile at you while you tell her “gimme some space Jaime”. As soon as I said my goodbyes to Jaime I went back to the shelter to save another dog right before getting euthanized. Her name is summer and is just as sweet as Jaime. & thanks to Alex Lane for accepting my decisions by going with the flow and enjoying it. 🐶🐾

I love you Jaime, can’t wait to see you thrive! 🌸🌼

Something I’ve recently learned is that you can also foster a dog for just a few weeks. Or even give your availability with what works best for you. Knowing this has allowed me to start now. I don’t think fostering dogs was something I ever planned on doing but now I’d recommend trying it at least once.

I woke up in Houston and ended the day in Yosemite National Park. This is your reminder that you have free will to book a flight and explore the world. It can be affordable and possible if you just make the plan and do it.

To my 💛,
Being the professor means so much more than just teaching Jiu Jitsu. It’s being 1 person carrying the weight of the students, the gym, the families, the team. I know how heavy it gets being there through their highs and their disappointments. And while I carry a lot of the load behind the scenes, I’ll always have enough to take care of you first. Bestie for life 🥰🌱
