To corroborate is good until it is not.

I have met many wounded Souls who insist on believing lies about how they are perceived by others. Years go by and these individuals will do anything they can to corroborate and perpetuate the lies they have come to believe.

Unfortunately, this belief system creates walls that keep people out and the supposed victim locked in.

Here are some of the signs:
👉🏾 You end relationships before someone "leaves you"
👉🏾You quit so you won't get fired
👉🏾You share your assumptions and suspicions trying to get a team to agree with your limiting beliefs
👉🏾You refuse to allow or accept that people can and want to change to make the relationship work
👉🏾You start performing, stunting and grandstanding (I call this fighting with ghosts) since your war is with the lies you created and not with actual people.

Maturity will bring you to a place where you want your relationships more than you want to be right. You will find yourself waking up and regretting all the time that you lost unless you become the change you want to see.

Listen: some people would rather walk away than to try harder. If you dont want to put in the work or if you feel that you have done all you can....lying to yourself and others will not help. Release yourself (and those you are trying to punish) seek healthy support and be whole.

Remember: Death and life is in the power of the tongue. The lies you tell yourself can become a self-fulfilling prophecy.
