🌿Happiness Took The Longest🌿

I was sitting down this morning and going over the homework my therapist gave me. Each session she gives me a word and with that word I have to remember a moment that best describes that word.

Today's word was HAPPINESS.

I had to sit down and remember one moment where I was truly happy. Not just putting up a front. A moment where I was 100% without a doubt, could stand up in a court of law with a lie detector test, HAPPY.

It took me a long time to dig deep and come up with a single moment that trumped it all...my first kiss with my boyfriend, George.

We met on the internet of all places and we previously stayed up for 24 hours straight just talking like school kids! We did waste no time with meeting and we went out to eat. At the end, he was super shy. I love shy guys!

We decided to go chill at a park and just talk and watch the sun go down...but he built up the courage to kiss me and MAN it was a direct hit and perfect! Soft lips? Check! Technique? Check! Gave me goosebumps? TRIPLE CHECK!

The part that made me feel genuine happiness was I could feel in his kiss that he genuinely liked me. You could feel it. He wasn't just trying to get in my pants like all the others...I could feel for the first time that someone actually liked me in a real way.

Why am I f🤬cking crying right now?

Are these happy tears?
I can't even tell.

It amazes how certain artists can pour out their pain on paper, in music, or in words.

Sometimes I feel urge to do so, but I also hold back because I don't want to come off as one of those self loathing people seeking attention.
