As some of you may know, we are in the midst of an unofficial modernization, if you will. The church buildings are old, especially the Sanctuary, which is 100 years old this year, so repairs are thrust upon us without warning, most times.
I do my best to repair what I am capable of, however, some repairs require specialization, time, and $$$.
For instance, the elevator. It has been out since December of 2025. The entire elevator needed to be rebuilt from the inside out. Due to the age, many parts needed to be manufactured, but alas, the rebuild is coming to an end and it should be up and running like new within the coming week.
We also had to replace the entire control panel for the lighting system in the sanctuary. It was obsolete, and failing us. However, the fixtures themselves were not updated during that project, and that is why you notice some lights not working during service. It is an arduous project, but it is moving forward. These sort of projects become more commonplace, and necessary, the older the structures get, and I ask your patience as we address each and every one.
It is always my goal to make sure your time here is restorative, and take comfort in knowing that I am always on it.
