What a joy and an honor to have been part of this journey and to release this report today in 4 languages! 🥹🥳🙌🏾
Two years ago, the brilliant Megan Lundstrom brought together a team of economic justice and human trafficking experts across the country to design a survivor-led research project around some key questions:
- What do survivors of trafficking wish employers knew?
- How do we move from short-term economic empowerment to long-term, sustainable economic justice?
What started as an idea became a national study with 102 survivor participants across the US and Canada and with an intentional focus on survivor, BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and language justice inclusion. ✊🏾🏳️🌈🌎
A huge shout out to the amazing partners that made this happen:
- Author: Megan Lundstrom,
- Editor: Ashante Taylorcox, MA-MHC, LPC,
- Editor: Jessica Pham,
- Reviewer: Cynthia Luvlee,
- Data Collection: Bianca Ramos, the Avery Center
- Participants: Each survivor participant who chose to share their wisdom and vulnerability in hopes of making change
And a very special shout out to the SPC (Shobana Powell Consulting) team- thanks to you this report will reach so many more communities around the world:
