UHD Accelerated Transfer Academy

Today marks the conclusion of a remarkable journey! For over 6 years, the Accelerated Transfer Academy at the University of Houston-Downtown has proudly supported transfer students through holistic services and financial assistance—including book vouchers and scholarships. Together, we’ve helped students persist, graduate, and launch their professional careers knowing they were part of something truly great! A special thanks to all of the staff and peer mentors whose dedication and guidance have been vital to the success of ATA.

While we close one chapter with the Accelerated Transfer Academy, our journey to serve transfer students is far from over. Through the Transfer Academy for Student Success, we will continue providing holistic support and guidance to ensure transfer students persist, graduate, and step confidently into their professional careers—while also serving as a vital part of the community where growth, connection, and success thrive together.

We are now accepting applications for our Fall 2023 cohort. Students who join ATA can look forward to a holistic support system including career development, academic support, and financial assistance through book vouchers and scholarship opportunities as you pursue your degree at UHD. ATA helps students get involved around campus, meet other new gators in the ATA, and develop on-campus relationships with your professors and staff that will prepare you for success at the University of Houston-Downtown and beyond!
