Google announced last week that they have implemented new strategies to help local small businesses and non-profits survive the business survival marathon that is COVID. Google *increased* Ad Grants to $1bn–– this is a huge deal. Non-profits need to skip, hop, and jump over to applying for this grant.

Google also rolled out a number of tactics to boost small businesses on Google. Here are my quick-hit notes on the big-ticket items:

+ Google Local Service Ads now offer booking functionality–– super helpful for smaller businesses with websites that don't support making appointments.

+ Added functionality to include curbside and delivery options to Google listings

+ Free promoted pins! [usually a paid feature]

+ Financial relief offered through the Small Business Fund
