KEEPING OFF BODY FAT WITH WEIGHT TRAINING

It’s shocking 🤯 that more people aren’t spending time lifting weights as a primary method for burning fat.

A fat loss program rooted in weight training is the BEST WAY to burn fat and keep it off.

This is because with weights training, your body will need to continuously feed your muscles to help them repair and grow.

The more muscle you build, the more calories you burn on a daily basis (this is your maintenance calories)

Higher maintenance calories makes it easier to stay out of a caloric surplus.

Even if you don’t want to put on a lot of muscle, weight lifting will still benefit you in so many other ways.

One benefit of weight lifting is IMPROVED INSULIN SENSITIVITY‼️

With improved insulin sensitivity, your body is able to more effectively use the calories (actually the carbs) you eat.

Instead of only storing carbs as fat, your body will begin to store the carbs (glucose) in your muscles.

In other words, using a weight training program will actually reduce the amount of fat your body stores over the long term (with proper dieting) because it will need calories to repair and build the muscles you breakdown.

⚡️ In summary, weight training primes your body to not store calories as body fat but instead uses those calories to build or maintain your muscles!

Of course, all of this information takes into consideration that you are following a proper diet to supplement your weight training program.

I recommend pairing a macronutrients based meal with your weight training program for optimal results.
