EAA Chapter 12

Last Friday, our EAA Chapter visited the Ellington Airport Control Tower to learn more about all the valuable work they do for the local aviators. Since it was a Federal Holiday (and most the government aircraft were parked), there was plenty of opportunity to ask questions. Thanks to David and Reshel who coordinated this visit.

Chapter Gathering – Thursday, 14 May 2026 at 7:00 – 9:30PM @ Pearland Regional Airport

We are going on the road for our next EAA Chapter 12, Gathering on Thursday, May 14 at 7:00- 9:30 PM to Pearland Regional Airport (note that new time and location). Our guest speaker and host will be Dave Grover a repeat experimental aircraft builder, who flies an RV-8, and helps other aircraft owners with their projects. That is when he is not at his day job flying for the airlines. His hangar is home to several experimental aircraft and an impressive array of high tech equipment to build aircraft parts. If you are interested in building, don’t miss this meeting.
His hangar is in the SW corner of Pearland Regional Airport. Enter Gate 1 from County Road 30, make two left turns to arrived behind the large Coastal Skies MX Hangar (Parking is limited near the hangar but available on the right as you enter the airport or down by the FBO). Also he has limited seating so bring a camping chair if you have one.
