The Biden administration has begun distribution of monkeypox vaccines to at-risk groups, which include:
1. People that have been in close contact with others that have been diagnosed (including s*xual contact)
2. Men who have s*x with men who have had multiple s*xual partners in areas where the virus has been known to spread (this includes venues, events, or areas of the country)
"The virus is marked by a rash that looks like pimples or blisters, along with symptoms like fever, headache, muscle aches, swollen lymph nodes and chills. Symptoms typically begin seven to 14 days after exposure, but they may start earlier or as late as 21 days after exposure.
