Hebrews 13:5 reminds us believers to keep our lives free from the love of money and to be content with what we have, for God has promised never to leave nor forsake His people.
This verse encourages trust in God’s constant presence rather than relying on wealth or material possessions for security. It highlights the truth that contentment does not come from what we own but from knowing that God’s provision is sufficient in every circumstance. By shifting focus from worldly desires to God’s unfailing presence, we can live with peace, gratitude, and confidence that He will supply our needs and guide us faithfully through life.

A true friend may sometimes say or do things that hurt in the moment (like offering correction, honesty, or tough love), but those “wounds” come from a place of care. Meanwhile, an enemy’s flattery or “kisses” may feel good, but they are false and harmful in the long run.
