Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight.

Younger people like the Millenials are said to spend an average of $2600 a year on beauty products. But also there are four other businesses women will spend more: food, fitness, beauty, and apparel.
Men on the average spend $250 - 500 yearly on colognes, and $1956 yearly on clothing, so roughly it averages out to the same for both.
Truthfully, we 'all have been raised to care for our personal hygene, look our best, and to carry ourselves with good deportment. These characteristics are what we encounter most and first as people.
In the Baptist church there is an average of 59% to 65% of women in the pews each Sunday, compared to 40% - 35% of men. Is this the same for every church, no, there are fellowships who have overwhelmingly large numbers of men.

But if we look another way at what Peter is saying in light of the church, she is the Lords bride. She is a sanctified vessel, transformed, whose life spirit should have an unfading beauty, have a gentle spirit, and a quiet spirit. We must remind ourselves, these attributes are only accomplished through the work of the Holy Spirit, Galatians 5:22 - 23.

Let's keep in mind, as Peter says, " Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, To God’s elect, exiles scattered throughout the provinces of Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia and Bithynia,

who have been chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through the sanctifying work of the Spirit, to be obedient to Jesus Christ and sprinkled with his blood: Grace and peace be yours in abundance.
May we all have that inward beauty by way of Spirit. This will compell others to meet our Savior.

1 Peter 3:3-4

One must note, that the earth is the Lords and all of its fullness, but God does not move until we begin to talking with Him in faith. His hand, though powerful and far reaching, does not move without the prayer of faith

Prayer is not instructing God, or informing Him, or attempting to impress Him with eloquent praying. But prayer is the communicating four faith that moves you and I closer to our heavenly Father— it is our portion of faith He gives that we deploy that moves God's hand according to His will.
