This week, HCC process technology students visited the Rig One facility for a hands-on safety training session. ITE instructor Adelaida Mayorga trained the students on fall protection, including the proper use of safety harnesses when ascending and descending stairs and scaffolding.

HCC Northeast President Betty Fortune, Ed.D. and other administrators welcomed City of Houston (COH) Public Works representatives who visited the HCC Northeast Campus to tour and learn about the Commercial Truck Driving and Basic Wastewater programs. The group dialogued about the demand for skilled workers and training opportunities through HCC’s Work-Based Learning Industry Partnerships.
