As an executive, your administrative assistant is a crucial partner in ensuring a smooth and productive week. Clear and proactive communication can significantly enhance their ability to support you effectively. Here are some key points to share with your administrative assistant to ensure a successful week:
1. Priorities for the Week: Outline the top tasks and projects that need attention. This helps the assistant focus on what’s most important.
2. Meeting Schedule: Provide any changes or new appointments. Highlight any meetings that require special preparation.
3. Deadlines: Communicate any upcoming deadlines for reports, presentations, or other deliverables.
4. Travel Plans: If there are any travel arrangements, share any specific requirements.
5. Key Contacts: Identify any important contacts or clients that may need special attention or follow-up.
6. Special Instructions: Provide any specific instructions or preferences for tasks, such as formatting for documents or preferred communication methods.
7. Feedback: Offer feedback on previous tasks to help the assistant improve and understand your expectations better.
8. Support Needs: Let the assistant know if you need any additional support or resources to complete your tasks.
By conveying these points, the executive sets a clear framework for the week, helping the administrative assistant to prioritize and manage their time effectively.
