We recently welcomed Gilbane Building’s Project Engineering Peer Group to Hays Electrical Services for a day of learning and professional development. As partners on the George R. Brown Convention Center expansion, the visit provided an opportunity to exchange knowledge beyond the jobsite.

The group toured our headquarters and both of our on-site prefabrication facilities, which together span more than 60,000 square feet. They saw firsthand how prefabrication supports planning, improves coordination, and helps projects move more efficiently from design through installation. The team also took a deeper look at one-line diagrams and their role in successful electrical project ex*****on.

To wrap up the day, the Gilbane team led an interactive presentation that challenged participants to think differently about processes, communication, and decision-making. It was a valuable reminder that some of the best lessons come from sharing different perspectives and experiences.

Investing in the next generation of construction professionals benefits our entire industry. By creating opportunities for younger project leaders to learn from one another, Hays and Gilbane are helping build stronger teams, better communication, and better projects for the future.
