We need volunteers for our annual Student Send-Off! Join the Houston Chapter in welcoming incoming first-year students from the Houston area and their families as they begin their UT journey.

The Student Send-Off is our annual party celebrating incoming UT students from the Houston Area. The event will have a complimentary brunch, insightful speakers (Dr. Brent Iverson, UFCU, Texas Parents Association), professional photographer opportunities, and raffle items.

We're spotlight Katherine "Katie" Prentice as our May Member of the Month! She recently shared her expertise at UT Austin's School of Information Graduation and Convocation 2026 and we couldn't be more proud of her!

As Executive Director of the Texas Medical Center Library, Katie leads library services for UTHealth Houston and Baylor College of Medicine and her impact extends far beyond those walls. Not only is she passionate about mentoring early- and mid-career librarians, she's also a valued member of the Texas Exes Houston Chapter. Katie co-chairs the Scholarship Committee, awarding $187,000+ in scholarships to Houston-area UT students this year.

From Peace Corps volunteer in Latvia to library leader, Katie embodies "what starts here changes the world"! 🤘

On Saturday, our volunteers assembled 4,000 meals at Kids Meals' new location. 🙌

Kids Meals fights childhood hunger in Houston by providing nutritious meals to kids in need. This weekend, our Texas Exes community showed up to support their mission, and as always, it was something special.
