Every year, the Stock Grill Challenge (SGC) selects a vital cause to support through MD Anderson. This year, we're rallying behind the MPeM Research Program led by Dr. Kanwal Raghav, Associate Professor in GI Medical Oncology at MD Anderson. All donations to SGC will be directly allocated to this impactful cause.

This Saturday, we'll be grilling and selling T-shirts and wristbands to raise funds and awareness for Dr. Raghav’s groundbreaking work on Malignant Peritoneal Mesothelioma (MPeM)—a rare, aggressive, and deadly abdominal cancer that urgently needs more research, better pre-clinical trial models, and new treatments to stop its progression.

In addition to supporting this vital research, we’re dedicating this year’s event to the memory of Michael T. Wardlaw who passed away from MPeM earlier this year at 48 years old. Michael was a husband, father, son, brother, and uncle, as well as one of the original members of the Limp Brisket Cooking team of the SGC. Michael was also a pledge brother to Douglas Chamberlain, Hugh Ramsey, Britton Holland, and Wes Skelton of the University of Texas Kappa Alpha fraternity.

Your contribution will help Dr. Raghav in his mission by advancing trials to push forward new immunotherapy treatments
Innovative approaches to tackling this aggressive disease. Join us this Saturday to support groundbreaking research at MDA and honor Michael’s memory. Together, we can help bring hope to those battling MPeM.
